It sings a silent song
Gently, gently beating down
But sadly, not for long
Soaking through my tattered clothes
And dampening my skin
Ignoring what those people say
They don't know the pain I'm in
One day I'll open my dry mouth
To sing along the tune
The voice I kept inside so long
Is coming very soon
Onto my face, inside my heart
Far out of reach for the sane
I'll be singing and dancing alone
Along with the music of rain
And now the rain stops, my mouth is still dry
I wanted to sing along
Selfish tears run down my wet face
But happily, not for long.
