Chapter 2: From Heaven.
The girl looked on with crystal clear tears flowing unwillingly down her smooth cheeks. Her heart ached with trouble and her mind raced with fear. Neither Caren nor Mike moved from their position or even utter a word as the heavy down pour began to soak the two silent figures mercilessly. Her long silky golden hair danced against the cold rainy breeze as she swallowed her guts in order to get the situation over with.
Ever so slowly, a trembling hand reached out for the arrogant teenager with short dark black hair and before she knew it, two familiar strong arms wrapped around her slim waist instead and Mike held the blonde in a warm embrace despite the solitary weather, playing with their slacking emotions. Caren could only continue to sob as she tried her best to stop the unwilling tears that flowed down flawlessly. Mike tried his best to coax the slightly trembling girl in his arms into calmness while running a free hand through her wet soft golden strands.
"Forgive me..."
- To be continued...
"Finally! Now all that's left is uploading it to the fanfiction website!", fourteen-year-old Ayakoganei Yumi chirped with excitement as she firmly clasped both of her hands together upon her achievement. A few incredulous eyes stared at her sudden reaction, but quickly resumed on their own business seeing that she was only over-excited on something they couldn't be bothered.
Yumi had enchanting aqua green eyes and long flawless chestnut brown hair, which was semi-tied in a loose ponytail and slightly touched below her shoulders. She had a passionate attitude on her likes and adores as well as a little childish sometimes to match the situation. Even so, Yumi can be a little too over the edge at certain times, but overall, she was a kind and caring person in the right eye.
"Fumi! Oh, Fumi! Do you wanna read my romance fanfic?! I've completed Chapter Thirty ready!", Yumi turned around from her seat as she made an attempt to call out to another girl sitting at the other end of the particular room where the noise was in its maximum condition. It was also noted as the area where boys, especially teenagers hang around while playing a deadly game of Counter Strike or even Half Life to be precise, but by the looks of it, fourteen-year-old Ayakoganei Fumi didn't seem to bother a single bit on her younger twin's call. She completely ignored Yumi and pulled her cap lower down her forehead before resuming the certain boyish game.
Fumi was the elder one of the twins, born a few minutes earlier before Yumi. More reserved and composed than her, she was raised up to the tomboyish side rather vice versa than what Yumi is now. Writing and reading romance stories make her sleepy, where else giggling on super hot guys in school makes her absolutely uninterested. She possessed short chestnut brown hair, which was simply tucked up underneath a cap, leaving a few strands of her fringe covering a slight part of her face; not too long, not too short.
"...Guess not.", the girl with chestnut brown hair which flowed down just below her slender shoulders huffed with narrowed eyes before concentrating back onto her rented computer screen to resume her own business. A sharp 'Bang!' from Fumi's computer made her younger twin yelped a little in response.
It was a bright and sunny typical Sunday morning; no school, no buggy teachers, no extra incredulous homework for the day. Fumi and Yumi were usually prone to spend the rest of the plain morning in certain Cyber Cafes, either surfing the Internet or even challenging a harmless game of shoot-and-die, only Yumi refuses to play such childish, absurd tomboy games, according to her, that is. Little did anyone notice, a familiar figure, invisible to the human eye, approached one of the windows nearby and bright blue eyes scanned the area with full interest, his pair of sturdy half black, half white wings spread widely behind his strong back, supporting its owner in mid air.
"According to the records, she should be in here somewhere...Oh well, might as well revise on the mission.", he blinked as his ocean blue orbs scanned through the particular area from his position, pressing his charming face closer to the unstained glass like a child peering into a candy shop. Tsusaru sighed inwardly before he gradually glided towards a steady huge tree not too far from where he was at the moment and settled himself on one of its strong branches with a stretch. He cheerfully shrunk his pair of half-black, half-white wings into its smaller size before carefully sitting down.
The golden-haired teenager crossed both of his hands behind his head, resting his full weight against the tree with comfort first. Within a snap of his finger, a dazed looking screen appeared before him which contained the information he craved.
Mission #1215225 - Shijirou Tsusaru
Client - Ayakoganei Fumi
Status - Junior High School Student
Age/Sex/Blood Type - 14/Female/A
Problem - Has a major attitude problem and doesn't accept any category of feelings
"'Has a major attitude problem and doesn't accept any category of feelings'...Now, how am I supposed to solve this?", before he'd knew it, his delicate fumbling fingers lightly touched the image of his new client, drawn into her daze. The gentle Earth breeze tousled his soft golden hair as a few vivid yellow strands blew across his handsome face. Snapping out of his trance for a moment there, Tsusaru quickly removed his hand in a speed of light, almost in a panic mode for he nearly lost his balance from the branch.
"Oh well, I'll just go with the flow! I'm a pure charming genius, after all!", the boy let out a fang-like grin and leaped up to his feet in an instant as he reverted his wings back into its normal size. His binding wrist shackles grind lightly over one another as he rubbed his hands together eagerly.
"Right on cue...", Tsusaru grinned victoriously as he caught sight of a certain figure walking out of the Cyber Cafe with both of her hands crossed casually behind her head. Fumi wore a black Nike shirt and a pair of Nike sport shoes to match as well as a baggy blue denim khakis. Her face was partly hidden beneath the cap she wore, yet Tsusaru could slightly see the expression she presented from his point of view.
"She really looks familiar...I'm sure I've known her somewhere before...", the blonde's thoughts were at it again. He didn't knew why he thought that way about his new client, but he couldn't deny the fact that he was always curious on particular things.
"It's been a while since I've last kick some ass from fucking bastards, so try me, idiots.", Fumi remarked as she paused in her footsteps without even turning back to the person she was referring to. What kind of shocked Tsusaru was that she'd just spoke using the voice of an arrogant boy around his early teens.
"Rephrase that; I absolutely don't know her...", vivid sweatdrops decorated the back of Tsusaru's head upon the outcome. He didn't recall the information remind him that his new client had a potty mouth. Guess it came along under the category 'major attitude problem' as cover-up, Tsusaru thought. Quickly, he double-checked the information given to him on Fumi's gender just to be on the safe side. Blinking once, blinking twice, the blonde swore that it was written 'female' right before him, yet what could explain the change in voice?
As Tsusaru kept on watching the situation before his very own eyes, he noticed a few unsatisfied looking teenagers advancing up to Fumi with cocky looks upon their faces. The fallen angel blinked upon the outcome and wondered to himself what was the cause of it? His wings gracefully flapped in anxiousness.
"You've sure got guts to insult us in the face, pretty boy."
"Pretty...Boy?!", this time, Tsusaru did fell off the tree.
"Idiots will always remain idiots.", he heard Fumi mutter underneath her breath as she casually let her hands drop to her sides, shrugging lazily at the same time.
"People don't judge others by their looks, but in my case, don't judge me by my voice.", Fumi's normal typical voice startled the situation, much to the others surprise. Ever so dramatically, the brunette took off her cap and let her gentle flowing hair fall neatly to its place. Aqua green orbs shimmered slightly beneath the sun's morning ray, her soft chestnut brown hair waltz lightly against the rhythmic breeze.
"A-A girl?!", the group of boys around her stammered lightly in shock. The brunette didn't pay the least bit attention on the remark as she tied her cap onto her loose belt, just in case a fight was called for.
"She's right...They are idiots...Can't they notice her...Err, what do you call it again...? Ah, right! Can't they notice her 'boobs'?! Oh wait, she does look a little flat, but her figure doesn't look bad at all...Meep! What are you saying, Tsusaru?!", Tsusaru blushed furiously on his senseless thinking as he tried to shake it off his mind. He dived behind a thick lush green bush and calmed himself down from the impact. The blonde sighed inwardly after a few minutes with imaginary puppy-like ears and a wagging tail, smiling nervously in hopes that the 'Heaven Screen', his worst nightmare, wouldn't be able to scan through someone's thoughts. It was bad enough that all his actions were recorded already.
"The title 'pretty boy' ain't bad at all. The best comment I've had all day. Besides, how come people are soon keen in winning every challenge they come across? Just face the fact that you're a bunch of sore losers.", his sensitive ears picked up the tone in Fumi's voice. He had to admit it, her voice was adorable in a way. His head peeked over the particular bush, seeing that the boys around her had irritated and pissed off looks upon their faces now, signaling the worse was about to come.
"How dare you?!", two of them charged towards the brown-haired girl, yet Fumi simply yawned slightly before cracking her knuckles in a guarding stance as if she was already used to fighting.
"If I don't help her, she'll probably get killed in the fight...By then, I'll be discharged from the mission and maybe even rumors will start to think that I killed another client again...But, if I help her, it'll mean revealing something unnatural and I'm really gonna get it from the old man up there...", the golden-haired teenager was in a panic situation himself, even though he wasn't experiencing it.
While inside the Cyber Cafe, Yumi was starting to get irritated of the very few girls who were pressing themselves on the window beside her in order to get a peek on the particular situation. She tried ignoring them, but with all the noise they were creating, a large vein popped out from behind her head, biting down her guts.
"We'd might as well surf the net for a few more minutes. There's a fight going on outside and I'm pretty much sure I don't wanna be involved.", one of them announced as she returned to her seat, followed by a friend who looked scared after witnessing something beyond Yumi's notice. As the area around her finally cleared by itself, her aqua green eyes caught sight of her elder twin bashing up a group of teenagers outside.
"Fumi! Just what in the world are you doing?!", Yumi shrieked in horror, much to a few people nearby her seat's shock. In a split second, the brown-haired girl was dashing towards the exit, leaving her rented computer unoccupied behind.
"That's all you've got?! Come on!", Fumi glared tauntingly while she roughly nudged one of the boys who had gradually passed out on the sidewalk due to the fact that he'd just received one hard elbow at the back of his neck earlier. Feeling rather unsatisfied with the outcome, she turned towards the only boy left standing a few paces before her with glaring aqua green eyes. The boy sensed fear rushing within him in an instant as he desperately tried to figure out a way to get himself out of the situation; unhurt.
That was when he noticed Yumi approaching them while calling out for her twin.
"Don't move or I'll kill her!", the boy yelled as a warning after he'd grip the younger twin in his hold and held a small blade towards her exposed neck. Yumi winced from the pain on the boy's rough grip as she tried to pry out of his hand, but to no avail. Tsusaru was still out of view with perpetual second thoughts.
"Lame. Do you seriously think I would care?", a smirk escaped the other girl's lips as she casually stepped up closer to the both of them without the slightest interest upon her arrogant face. The boy looked as if he was taken aback on such response.
"I-I said don't move!", he took trembling step back, pulling Yumi along with him. Within a flash of lightning, Fumi had already gave him a hard swift kick in the head and at the same time, Yumi had already ducked down before the outcome. The boy went stumbling backwards and the blade in his hands fell before him. It was lucky that the younger brunette understood the indirect warning.
"Argh! Fuck!", he hissed in pain, glaring up at Fumi. A free hand immediately snaked its way towards the blade right in front of him, but the brunette managed to stomp on his hand which already got hold of the silver object. The boy winced slightly on the outcome where else, Yumi had both of her hands slightly covering her mouth in order to prevent from screaming if anything bad would've happened.
"Oh, and one thing, buddy. Get a better quality knife. Yours reek of shit.", Fumi said as she kicked the blade aside out of reach and proceeded to hit him on the head unconscious. Yumi could only stare at the few limp figures all around them with wide eyes, a little frightened on what her elder twin had committed.
"That's it! I'll save her! That'll show who's the man!", finally the fallen angel had made his decision, but as he studied the situation before him, his eyes only met a few comatose bodies on the ground, a girl with long chestnut brown hair reflecting concern in her beautiful aqua green eyes and his client who casually took out her cap once again and placed it on her head reverse sided.
"Walk, Yumi. And don't say a word.", he heard Fumi ordered to the girl beside her as she turned around and started to walk away from the area without looking back.
"B-But, Fumi! Ah! Wait up!", Yumi called out to her twin before catching up with her. Tsusaru might've guessed that she would be Fumi's twin sister according to their similar looks. He shrugged to himself as he stepped out from his hiding place, not that anyone could see him before he glided through the air above the two familiar figures, observing their every move.
"Man...This is one tough client..."
