We push and shove.
We take and give.
We yell and shout.
We are like flies caught in a web.
The world struggles to be free,
And instead entangle ourselves further.
Hoping for something we already have;
Wanting answers to questions no one asked.
Praying for hope, but projecting hate;
Going to war, fighting to uphold peace.
Not knowing what lies ahead,
Yet we try to prepare for it.
Hating our lovers, and loving those we pretend to hate;
Wanting everything and needing nothing.
Contrary by nature but wanting to fit in.
We are doomed.
