Elisa has a poor, dysfunctional family, is bullied at school, and struggles with thoughts of suicide. Nothing seems to get better for her, or her family. David is an attractive young man who has a rich family. He struggles with an odd feeling of emptiness, and the fact that he can't seem to go wrong.
