I'm in the closet. No, not about my sexuality. I'm your typical straight white female who grew up watching anime. I'm a closeted fangirl when it comes to yaoi.

But I actually do care more about a good story with drama and emotion and well developed characters. In Manga there are a few really good, dramatic series but they are few and far between and because of my obsession I'm already up to speed on my favorites. So to fill the gaps of good stories I come here and sift through the trash to find the treasure.

I've gotten over the emo-boy craze. So if your story has an emo-boy in it and it's stereotypical I might read a few chapters but get bored with it. I understand that tragedy and suffering can add drama and complexity to a character but if it's a "my dad beats and/or rapes me" kind of thing it gets old. Do something new.

Meh. I'm rambling. I'm not going to list my favorite genre although I tend towards psychological thriller romances. I think my biggest annoyance is when a story has no plot and focuses solely on the romance. Characters are complex. Their motive to live should have more substance than just hanging on to someone they love. Even the most co-dependant ones. It's your job as a writer to bring that out in them. And it's my job to read about their lives.

Okay... I'm done. _

BTW don't expect any stories here and IF they do pop up be warned--unless it's a short story, I've never finished one before! But who knows, maybe my first time will be printed here. (Get your head out of the gutter!)
