Five years after a Zombie Virus wiped out most of the world's population Morgan Jones, a mercenary, has been hired to transport Alexa Williams across the ruined country of America. He has to get her to a settlement in California from a Safe Zone in Boston in one year's time, otherwise no entry for him, along the way they meet up with Jackson Miles and his band of survivors.
