Based on true stories like the Lost Boys of Sudan. Our character flees with his mother and sister as his village is attacked. Rather ambiguous ending. Short story. Reviews welcome :)

Home is where you go when it gets dark
When you were a kid, did you ever spend hours playing outside (in the bush) and then realise with a shock that the sky was getting dark and had to hurry home (which was a tin shed in the middle of said bush)? Well, here is a poem.

Pass It On
Yes, another 'girl playing piano' short story. Contains plot and emotion. I hate the title for this but it really fits!

I Know I'm Home
Original song about God. I wrote this in my early teens, and the tune is pretty lame but it does okay as a poem.
Poetry: Song, K, English, Poetry & Spiritual, words: 197, 8/2/2017
2just haiku »
Broken up into chapters according to the theme of the haiku. I don't keep the subject matter to nature only, but I do follow the 5-7-5 format.

T'was a Perfect Storm
Not the night before Christmas ... just about a storm doing what strong storms do.
Poetry: Nature, K, English, Poetry, words: 164, 7/29/2017

The Boy and the Wind
Starring: a Boy, the Wind, a Tree. I think it's a rather Hans Christian Anderson story: things die rather tragically, and there seems no apparent moral lesson. Includes to varying degrees death, talking inanimate objects, poorness and forgiveness of a sort.
Fiction: Fable, K+, English, Poetry & Tragedy, words: 3k+, 7/28/2017

The Children and the Sea
Poetry form: Sestina (if you want to, check out Elizabeth Bishop's online first). I wrote this in 2015 and only tweaked it a little. Don't be daunted by the blocky structure! Rated T for ambiguous big gentle animal killing, with hints that children are watching. Includes the sea, children, innocence? and animal blood. Dang, that sounds morbid and graphic. It's really not!
Poetry: Nature, T, English, Poetry & Suspense, words: 360, 7/27/2017

The Ice Dancer
The personification of a pencil. Written for English ages ago. I just wanted to share it. Comments appreciated!
