Dear everyone,

You have been the best readers in the world. You have helped me with my stories and told me jokes and shared your experiences and knowledge. I am so thrilled that some of you have followed me over to another side of publishing, where I write as Allison Parr. I am incredibly grateful for all the reviews and encouragement you have given me.

I left And Then She Met the President's Son up on Fictionpress because I had no plans to publish it, and because people were still reading it. Unfortunately, it was recently plagiarized as a Maximum Ride story on Fanfiction. For someone who makes their living by writing - and who spends hours pouring over their work - there's very little worse than to find another person claiming they wrote one of your stories. This has bothered me so much that I'm removing the story.

I wrote and posted ATSMtPS for my readers or Fictionpress when I was fourteen to sixteen years old, and it's been up on this site for well over ten years now. I hope that everyone it has reached has been entertained - I know I have been moved by your reviews, and I have saved all of them. If the story does ever go back out into the world, I will be sure to let you know.

GUESS WHAT? I HAVE A BOOK DEAL!!!

Guys. GUYS. First, I am so humbled and grateful to come here and see that people are still reading my stories and taking the time to leave comments. I am amazed and thrilled and touched. Thank you.

And second - drum roll please - those stories will finally be PUBLISHED! Hurrah!

I've signed a three-book-deal with Carina Press (a Harlequin imprint) for a contemporary romance trilogy - much like Rebecca and Jadrien's story, actually. Though, like you, I've definitely aged up quite a bit since my Fictionpress days. So these are twentysomethings instead of teenagers, dealing with high school reunions, overbearing parents, finding jobs, and (OF COURSE) crazy wonderful romance.

I am so, so excited, and I hope you are too! The first book, RUSH ME, has an April 2013 release date, and I'm working on the second book right now. I haven't had such a blast writing anything since ATSMTPS.

I know I have an AWFUL blogging track record, but since this is a done deal (!!!!) I will be blogging, tweeting, and facebooking pretty much all the time (Because who wants to work on edits when they can work on perfectly framing their brunch to share on Twitter?) So I would LOVE to see some of the old faces and the new over on my blog.

My new blog!!

Facebook Page

Oh, and Google Plus

And Twitter, because why not?

Thank you all.

Hi! Remember me? Once upon a time, I wrote a very silly story called “And Then She Met the President’s Son,” which many of you were kind enough to read, despite many, many spelling errors, wild plot twists, and a sort of deus ex-machima final ending. And no epilogue. Sorry about that. Really.

ATSMtPS was the first story I ever finished. I started hundreds of plots, but this was the one with an ending. It’s both honest and completely sappy to say that I finished it because of my readers. Because there were people who cheered me on and supported me and gave me feedback. So I wrote it for them. For you guys.

Now I’ve written another story, and I’m actually trying to get it published. Shocking! It’s about a girl named Tiffany Blake, who, during a tipsy game of Truth-or-Dare, falls into a vat of radioactive goo, turns blue, and develops superpowers. Like ATSMtPS, it’s sort of silly, but Tiffany’s also a kick-ass heroine who is determined and proud and a lot of fun to write.

As I send out the manuscript to agents and make connections and try to be an artiste with more than a nice cardboard box to hole up in, I’m going to blog. Apparently, blogging’s in. How revolutionary. Except with less gunshots and flag-waving.

There’s one blog post up right now. I know! How exciting! But more are coming, and maybe more will be there by the time you click through. Which I hope you do! Along with the road to publication, I'll be blogging about living in different countries, about baking, and about books. And maybe even a little bit about living in the Real World. It’ll be fun. See you there!

UPDATE: The blog did not happen, folks. I KNOW! What's up with that, sloppy blogger? Don't worry! I have a new one, as linked to above!
