JACK. How you can sit there, calmly eating muffins when we are in this horrible trouble, I can't make out. You seem to me to be perfectly heartless.
ALGERNON. Well, I can't eat muffins in an agitated manner. The butter would probably get on my cuffs. One should always eat muffins quite calmly. It is the only way to eat them.
JACK. I say it's perfectly heartless you're eating muffins at all, under the circumstances.
ALGERNON. When I am in trouble, eating is the only thing that consoles me. Indeed, when I am in very great trouble, as anyone who knows me intimately will tell you, I refuse everything except food and drink. At the present moment I am eating muffins because I am unhappy. Besides, I am particularly fond of muffins.
JACK. Well, that is no reason why you should eat them all in that greedy way. takes muffins from Algernon
ALGERNON. Offering tea-cake I wish you would have tea-cake instead. I don't like tea-cake.
JACK. Good heavens! I suppose a man may eat his own muffins in his own garden.
ALGERNON. But you just said it was perfectly heartless to eat muffins.
JACK. I said it was perfectly heartless of you, under the circumstances. That is a very different thing.
ALGERNON. That may be. But the muffins are the same. * * * Hey, I'm elodie. Of course, that's not my real name, but I'm a private person.

A few books I enjoy are Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, The Orchid Thief, Le Divorce, Sloppy Firsts and Please Kill Me - The Uncensored Oral History of Punk. That last one is actually a great book. If you're a fan of punk, it's terribly interesting.

I like Hemingway, but I think Shakespeare and Homer are overrated. Although, I don't mind watching Shakespeare, I think it's a terrible idea to have to read it for a class. Not that many people in my Honors English class in a relatively intelligent school actually get it without watching a performance. Homer is just bad and pointless.

I love Broadway musicals, especially Hair, Rent and Jesus Christ Superstar. I am in no way religious, but JCS really sparked an interest in theology for me. And this is coming from a very strong and pig-headed athiest.

I like to sing and am a classically trained soprano. It's kind of a saving grace of mine. I think of it as the only thing that I'm truly excellent at. I'm a mediocre writer, student, actor, musician (I play the clarinet) and I'm not as funny and witty as I want to be. So it's the one true thing that I really cling to to say that I actually have a purpose in life.

Obviously, I like to write, however I have a LOT of trouble finishing stories. My attention span is most terrible. In my six years of attempting to write novels, I have finished exactly one. Yeah. One. And that was a Rent fan fiction. It's on FF.N under the same name. While I have attempted many, I have still only finished one.

Which brings me to the status of the stories I currently have posted here.

Current Stories

Moonlight Like the Dawn of Time - My current story. This is the first time in a very long time I've been able to write. Please bear with me through the awful writing. Funny enough, a Tom Cruise movie thatmy history class watchedinspired me.
Gravity is Not Responsible - Discontinued. I got bored.
Easy is the Descent - I will eventually finish this sometime. For now, it's on hiatus.
When Lilies Bleed - Discontinued.
Leilani - I haven't worked on this one for awhile, but I still have hopes of eventually finishing it. It's one of my favorites.
Hue of Color - Discontinued.
The Turquoise Beads - Discontinued.
