My Stories 24
1
Routine
I spend six minutes in the kitchen every morning, listless. Sometimes I hold a toothpick, a fork, a butter knife between my fingers. I pretend it's a cigarette. A nervous habit. Because I'm nervous, always nervous, and I never know why.

Atlantic
She is real, real like blood and papercuts, real like when I felt my clavicle shatter in the eighth grade, before the X-rays. The Atlantic. Not a postcard, not a television special. The real thing.
Fiction: Biography, T, English, words: 1k+, favs: 2, 4/27/2008

The Value of Loss
Two best friends-one an agnostic, another a nun-in-training-are about to be separated. The journey is voluntary on one side, involuntary on the other... they will learn the true value of loss. A story of friendship, ambivalence, and wavering faith.
Fiction: General, T, English, Friendship, words: 2k+, 4/14/2008

Death of the Fountain
Strangely inspired by a fountain on campus, which was drained nearing the winter months... watching the snow fall on a dead fountain, I decided to write this. Stunned beneath streetlights and falling snow and you...
Poetry: Love, T, English, Horror & Romance, words: 155, 5/10/2007
2LOVE
Honestly? I am sorry. Sorry you built your life along the fault line. But I'll never say (I saw it coming).
Poetry: Love, T, English, Romance & Angst, words: 297, 5/10/2006
3Things Left Unsaid
Draw it out into a single heart-shaped syringe, still beating, still breathing, still waiting for those "reasons" to stay.
Poetry: Love, T, English, Angst & Angst, words: 161, 4/26/2006
3The Comedian Bleeds Backstage
We share... similar mindsets and sad, sad smiles on the sidelines of a comedy with neon lights, credits flashing... you are the star of this charade...
Poetry: Friendship, K+, English, words: 233, 4/10/2006
4They Say the Spectators Never Get Hurt
Liars, I stand on the sidelines and bleed. It's not fair, really, that such a beautiful thing has turned so awry... En garde, rest your blades on my heart of glass (with hairline cracks) because it hasn't broken yet.
Poetry: Love, T, English, Angst, words: 227, 4/1/2006
7Obituary
...And all they've written upon this page, vague statistics of a man so much more... but ink never mattered that much to me.
Poetry: Love, K+, English, Romance & Tragedy, words: 154, favs: 2, 2/28/2006
4Death
A musing on life and death. My opinions, beliefs, etc. Not much of an essay, but I would appreciate other opinions and comments, too.
Fiction: General, T, English, words: 745, 2/24/2006
6You Should Listen More Often To Silence
See this trigger? I'm but a breath away and you won't say a word... and I am far too shy to tell you. So hurry, let's end this once and for all... in flames.
Poetry: Love, T, English, Angst & Romance, words: 239, 2/23/2006
4Soliloquy
And drowning in tears, unshed, I consume them to fill me... so rare to feel that pulse within. Hollow veins bleed still, one drop at a time.
Poetry: Love, K+, English, Romance & Angst, words: 235, 12/15/2005
3Truth
Because that's what they tell us at home, at work, and in school. Because those are the lies we swallow and vomit as truth.
Poetry: Life, T, English, words: 356, 11/30/2005
2Modulation
A few dirty hands salvaging what they can behind mirrors stained with yesterday's blood... sick bulimic accustomed to the flavor of advice consumed again and again until it looks real, until we find what remains.
Poetry: Politics, K+, English, Parody, words: 282, 11/30/2005

Spring, summer, autumn, winter... four seasons pass, trailing a love from beginning... to bitter end.

7Symmetry
I wish I could smile and drive that knife into your back. I wish I could twist it around and rip out your heart, tear it to pieces... but it's only symmetry. I want you to feel just like me.

These stars, my dreams, are consuming my every breath, and I don't know how much longer I can last because I'm cold, I'm empty, and I'm so, so scared...
Poetry: Love, T, English, Angst, words: 97, 5/4/2005
