My deviantart account is at http:/// if anyone's curious about my doodles/mixed media/sewing/photo/basic digital manips. (the variety of my projects there is expanding nicely) I think I have about forty visial projects there now.

I've given up on formatting. *can't find a towel, so throws in a dirty sock*
A quirk I noticed recently is that though my language in real life can...er...well...be quite... profane shall we say? My writing generally is not. A number of people seem to give things a higer rating then is needed simply to make them look more interesting. IMHO rating something G does not mean it is simplistic or monosyllabic, and does not rule out complex topics.
Sorry, mini rant done.

My tastes, as if you cared, but I suppose you never know... :)
I adore anything 'escapist,' namely a good book. My favorite authors are Neil Gaiman, J.R.R Tolkein, and of course J.K. Rowling. Terry Pratchett is getting up there too. But Neil Gaiman is at the top. (If you haven't read his work, go read it. NOW. what are you still doing here?) My poetry taste is odd- ranging from Shakespeare to Poe to Frost, with a detour at the Romantics. A really wonderful poet I only found last year is AE Stallings. Modern twists on mythology. And a very natural sense of rhythm and rhyme.
My movie tastes are action, fantasy, and drama. My music taste ranges from Baroque and Medieval to Alternative. Oh, and sometimes a taste of late 60s/ early 70s protesty type stuff.
Since everyone else seems to delve into religion somewhere on these things or in their writing I guess I should say this straight out- I'm secular humanist. (Basically atheist/agnostic. All good and evil is from/in us sort of a deal, kay?) Favorite quotes on the subject: "I come as a traveller on this world, I do what is right." and "Regardless of whether there is a heaven or hell, it is preferable to do good deeds."
I work at a bookstore, so reading is more of a disease than a hobby for me... I still write. But I admit it's slow going, so I don't think I'm cut out for it. Too much insomnia, too little inspiration. Anyone have a spare muse?
I have vampire the masquerade poetry (which requires no knowledge of the world of darkness whatsoever), one LoTR (which I'm actually proud of though no one has read) and Harry Potter fanfics at and fictionalley, under the same user name.
Please look!
And of course, please Review!
