"Education without values, as useful as it is, seems rather to make man a more clever devil. "-C.S. Lewis
"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."- John 15:13
Self-Actualization motivates my life.
My name is Amanda, I'm 22 and I live in Ohio. I'm a senior at Kent State and am finishing up my BA in Political Science. I'm starting my Master's in Library Science in the Fall of 2009. I hope, that sometime in the future, though, I will get the chance to attend an Episcopal seminary to get ordained. I guess my dream of becoming a clergy member will always remain strong within me even though I have many other dreams I want to live out now.
I think my work, especially my poetry, appeals to a limited crowd. It is guided, for the most part, by my faith and passion. I'm obsessed with using similes and metaphors, so as a reader, one will see that a lot in my writing. In a sense, I think my style is an acquired taste, but grows on a reader.
I worry too much. I think that's my biggest imperfection, though I always strive for perfection in the things I am passionate about.
I love the world, and so many people in it. They are just as much as an inspiration to me, as I am to them.
