I'm 19 and slowly, slowly beginning to write again after a near two-and-a-half year writer's block. I wrote most of my stories three years ago. I am most proud of my latest two one shots. I post here to get feedback and reader responses, so please review and tell me what you think...I will respond to all reviews (it's the least I can do if you take the time to help me out :). My most popular completed fantasy story is Double-Edged Swords, and I promise it's a fun fantasy read (though I see all the plot holes and flaws with painful clarity now), so if you want to check that out and drop a review for that, it would be much appreciated!
NEW 06/08/09: A Flash of Gold - One-Shot: My goal for this story was to illuminate a moment of tension and explore the resolution. I hope I've achieved that!
03/08/09: Woman, Lover, Statue - One-Shot: Lately I've been interested in myths and how they capture human experience, and so I wanted to humanize a story from the Ramayana.
Complete:
Double Edged Swords (33 chapters): my first work that I am proud of. Fantasy, action/adventure, a hint of romance
The Governess and the Gentlemen (24 chapters)..my light sort-of-Regency period romance. Very light. Very, very light. Super fluffy. Ahem. I was young when I wrote this, and that's my disclaimer.
The Misadventures of Dungboy (one shot), uses characters from Swords, but I think it can be read alone; I like this one a lot.
Just because and Where is Our World (a poem and a rant)
Basically on hiatus:
The Paper Crown (sequel to Double Edged Swords)
Definitely On Hiatus:
The Tunnel Wars. (I wrote this a long time ago too..): sci-fi, action adventure.
Check out my home page if you want to see a map/character list for my DES series. Also, Punchadara on this site has drawn some pictures of those characters. Search her (her stories are fun too!) and copy-paste the URL (which is on the top line of her profile) then scroll down to the end of the website.
Have a great day and happy reading..
