2Woman
Speaker gets drunk, her friend doesn't, they have sex. She feels guilty, but it's her job to just pretend it never happened, because she's the woman; so she'll starve or hurt herself to be unnattractive, and forgive him. Love this one. Bitter, raw, real.
Poetry: Life, T, English, words: 396, favs: 2, 8/27/2010
2Four AM
I freaking love this one. I try to express every anxiety and memory and hope and fear in a college student's head at four AM as I should be sleeping, but can't. Expressed using really unusually-combined words/images. Experience captured.
Poetry: Life, K+, English, words: 434, favs: 1, 8/27/2010
2Someone
I remember when you were someone worth knowing. Then you started trying to prove your masculinity. Now you're someone who will hit a lady, turn your back on your friends. I remember when you were someone to me. Now you're a real man instead.
Poetry: Friendship, K+, English, Angst, words: 210, favs: 1, 1/16/2010
2Back To Bitter
This is what it feels like to be in a relationship with someone with auto-immune disorders. It's a cycle of fear and hope, anxiety and celebration, even guilt. She's healthy and everything's great, then she gets sick, and you're back to bitter again.
Poetry: Love, K+, English, words: 204, favs: 1, 12/10/2009
Heat Lightning
Heat lightning in the sky, and also the heat between lovers. A simple metaphor that uses lots of s-based alliteration, toys with style and format, and attempts to capture the heat and passion between two women and compare it to the energy of a storm.
Poetry: Love, M, English, words: 187, 7/8/2009

SelfFulfilling Prophecy
Stop telling me you're too stupid to do this, stop telling me it's too hard, stop telling me I'm going to give up and leave you. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy. You keep telling me it'll happen, and, it will.

Ball Game
We're playing a game, and we've been playing for so long that the stands are empty, there's not even a referee. Soon I'm going to leave too, and then you'll be making baskets against yourself. It's not worth the prize anymore.
Poetry: Love, K+, English, words: 155, follows: 1, 12/26/2008

Food Bank
Just a depressing little ditty about how I am officially poor; I used to be too proud to borrow five dollars, and hey, now I'm wearing tattered clothes, working two jobs, and begging for food. Poem is addressed to the receptionist at the foodbank.
Poetry: Life, K, English, words: 254, 12/19/2008

Savior
My best friend. Cross-dresser, sweetheart, bad things happen to him, I take care of him. I guess... this whole time, he didn't want me to. I could save him from homophobia, then, but he's so desperate and broken now, and I can't save him from himself.
Poetry: Family, T, English, words: 355, favs: 2, follows: 1, 8/30/2008
Martyr of America
This guy plays the hero because his snack food is so expensive, his life, so hard. I listen to people whine about dumb things all day and barely afford to make ends meet and live in a crummy apartment and am hungry some nights. Who's the real martyr here.
Poetry: Life, K+, English, words: 456, 8/10/2008
1Babygirl
This one's my diamond in the rough. Lots of people I'm close to have been sad or hurting lately and I want to cuddle them and take the pain at me. This one's directed at my girlfriend but the feeling's pretty universal I think. It's charming I like it.
Poetry: Love, K+, English, Romance & Hurt/Comfort, words: 263, 5/22/2008

In Twenty Years
College, late night. I'm sitting here pondering my life, not sleeping, ignoring my partner. Knowing that in twenty years, the same questions will haunt me in a different bed.
Poetry: Life, K+, English, words: 168, favs: 1, 4/5/2008
3Moonlit Words
Not your classic moonlit words love poem a cutesy almost juvenile idea it's not that you look prettier in the moonlight, it's that the moonlight looks prettier with you in it, and should thank you. Only that's too darn dorky to say out loud.
Poetry: Love, T, English, words: 104, favs: 1, 12/30/2007

Statistically
This is actually kinda old, and about how gays can't get married. Statistics say marriage ends in divorce anyway, stereotypes say divorce is the cause for my sexuality in the first place... we fight and yearn so hard... IDK, just read this.
Poetry: Life, T, English, Poetry, words: 113, 12/30/2007
1Platonically Correct
I call my friend cuz something's bugging me and I can tell her anything we talk it out turns out it's HER bugging me I've been missing her lately, a bit more than is platonically correct. Aww.
Poetry: Love, K+, English, words: 212, favs: 1, 11/15/2007
3Fallen
The real title is the name of the girl who jumpedfell off the parking garage at my school. We don't yet know if she's going to live. I had to write something. I hope she lives... or at least finds peace.
Poetry: Life, T, English, words: 234, favs: 1, 11/15/2007
1Conundrum
I don't need you, I do care about you, but I know it'd be better for you if I leave, but I'm afraid that would hurt you so I'm just gonna hang around until you leave of your own accord. The poem is much better worded, and not so trite. I'm working on it!
Poetry: Love, K+, English, Angst & Romance, words: 209, favs: 1, 11/11/2007
2OpenNote Quiz
Ive been away, I forgot I had uploaded all these. This is OLD and its a plea from a party animal for an easier opennote quiz because obviously school is about partying, not studying. I really overheard these statements, too, which is why I hate college.
Poetry: School, K+, English, words: 140, 11/11/2007

Image
Sort of a throwback to my angstridden days. You try to LOOK like a real friend but you never act the part. You're just upholding your image. I, on the other hand, refuse to cut up who I am just so other people, even you, accept me. I love my angry pieces.
Poetry: General, K+, English, words: 163, favs: 1, 8/28/2007
1Physical
Emotions are felt physically too. I've come to love the first few moments of the morning because I don't think of you right away and that's when my heart is lightest. Just a short reflection on a moment today.
Poetry: General, K, English, words: 82, 8/13/2007
