i grew up dreaming of the sky and whispering to the pines. i skipped a generation and took after my grandparents and an uncle no one will speak of (his funeral was my birthday & he’s buried in the wrong grave). i had a light i lost one december; that september left scars. i liked rainy days and numbers that spoke and impossible ideas. i saw god everywhere. i chased rabbits and befriended my own shadow, because no one else liked to dream.
so i grew up into a lost girl with a rabbit hole complex.
& i'll admit, i'm still not entirely real.
note: thank you to all those who review my work. i appreciate your support, constructive criticism, interpretations, and comments more than i can say. and a very special thank you goes out to the 101 readers who have placed me on their favorite authors list. i'm flattered.
