I think I will try my hand at a different style of writing. It will be short, only one chapter, since it will only be an attempt to see how I feel about it. But I've decided that it's time to step out of my comfort zone and try something new. Isn't that what writing is about? (Amongst other reasons).
Key- Sorry it's taking me so long to update. Right now, I'm going through 3 deaths in 3 days, so right now I'm on a bit of a hiatus. I'll have it updated in a few days.
So I randomly decided to look at my profile, and I realized something. I haven't updated for years. So if you've looked at it recently, erm...yeah...
So let's start anew.
I'm 17. I'm a junior in high school. My writing skills have definitely improved a lot since I've started out, but I still think that fanfics are my strong point. Mainly because with fanfics, you don't have to go through the character building. They're premade, and you just go ahead and make a plot. But with writing your own fiction, you have to do everything, from fleshing out the characters, to creating their personality so that people will have a less than vague understanding of them...and it's a challenge. I LOVE challenges, so I figured I'd come back from my unofficial hiatus and start writing again. Before, I used to take any idea that blew through my mind, and try to make a story out of it without really thinking about whether it'd make a good story, whether I could keep it going, or whether I WANTED to really keep it going.
With my story Key, well...it was one of those things. However, I want to keep it going. I actually have a plot planned out. It's not written down or anything, but it's etched in my mind and I can't wait to get it out!
