I'm gradually getting more comfortable with my writing, despising my work a little less. A year of AP English taught by an absolutely unimaginative, bigoted boor followed by a year of intense essays at an obsessively competitive college left me feeling a bit inadequate, but I think I've got this "college" thing down now and I'm much happier with the way I write.
