My penname is Kihara Mayumi. I'm a freshman in college this year (and what a tough year it's turning out to be). I am currently studying petroleum engineering but I am transferring to a different university this year because I want to double major in aerospace engineering and international affairs with a minor in japanese and my school has none of those things but I'm here on a music scholorship. I get paid a gracious amount to play viola in the orchestra. I absolutely love writing and if I could make any money at all I would be an english major. I love the japanese culture and people think I'm a little weird becuase I watch japanese dramas like Hana Yori Dango, Hana Kimi, Forbidden Love, and I love the Detective Conan Live episode (all of them have Shun Oguri who I think is absolutely amazing and I want to marry him some day). I read tons and I have very distinct political and religous views.
My Writing:
Trouble in Paradise... if only it were that simple: This one is actually one of my best works (although it has a long way to go). "There's a new girl at Parkland Heights and she's already causing quite a stir. She finds herself in a mess of trouble involving the dangerous Jay Turner and few ghosts from his past."
Love Kills: this is, I think, my favorite story that i've published on this website thus far. "He was a coldhearted assassin she was the daughter of the man he was supposed to eliminate. Complication ensues when they meet. Bigger problem, they’re in high school, and he’s the Headmaster’s son." This one was renamed from High School Drama becuase it deals with a world outside of high school.
Rockstar Reux: I think I really need to stop picking favorites becuase this in another one. "It's never been easy for Danielle but she's out once and for all to prove herself in a world dominated by male racers while still supporting her best friend in his quest for fame and experiencing a romance with the elusive Tre McCombs, his new band mate." This is a spin-off of my other story "I've always wanted to date a rockstar." This one is quite a bit more realistic but it's still tons of fun.
The Art of Dance: I really truely am not a huge fan of this story. "She’s the dancer and he’s the “misunderstood” artist. The have absolutely nothing in common except he’s stuck in his own world and she in hers, until he’s forced to watch her dance, then he can think of nothing else but being in her world" It's sort of gone on a hiatus while i work on the three above becuase they're the ones that I'm trying the hardest to update cuz they're the ones the most people read.
30 Things a Girl would Die for: This is another one thats on temperary hiatus. "My name is Elizabeth Shaunrey and I agree that guys are hopeless but one thing I never counted on was a ‘rather dashing’ stranger to come out of no where and completely turn my belief in men upsidedown."
Coming Soon:
They Call me a Witch: this is a religous-type piece that I'm going to begin working on shortly. The title may change but for right now that's what I'm going to use. This will be a religious piece. I'm not a christian I'm wiccan so this will be a story that somewhat deals with the things that I have to go through and the ignorance people have about the Pagan religions. If you're extremely religious I wouldn't recomend reading this because I'm going to be putting arguements that I have dealing with the christian faith. It'll still have some romance (of course :) ) but it'll have its serious parts as well.
There you have it. A summary of my writing and a sneak peak at the next project. If you have any questions about any of these stories or about me just shoot me an email or comment or something and I'll answer the question on this page. So thanks for reading and go check out my stories!!
