Hi everyone!

I know I haven't been posting much lately,

but I promise, I do have a good reason!

Many of you may have read previously that I am writing a book.

Well, that book is coming along quite nicely.

I am working on page 35 now.

Yes, yes, it is a long, slow, drawn-out process,

but that's how I wanted it to be.

I did not want to rush through it.

I'm enjoying the experience of being a real author.

Quite a lot of my old reviewers have grown bored of me,

and I do understand that.

But I am eternally grateful to those of you

who have stuck around since I first began here two years ago.

I also just want to let you all know that

my review/author/private message alerts are not working.

So, if you have sent me a PM that I did not respond to,

please don't take it personally.

Also, if I haven't been reviewing you back or anything,

it's because I didn't know you had reviewed me,

ot I didn't know you posted something new.

I am so, so sorry for this,

and I will try to have it fixed.

In the meantime,

is that happening to anyone else?

Good morning everyone!

I am so, so, so sorry I haven't been online since April 11th.

Well, I just graduated from 8th grade on Thursday,

and last night I was watching the slide show DVD of pictures we were given.

It was so hard because there were pictures of days I haven't thought about at all for six or seven years.

And I realized that I may never see the people in these pictures ever again.

It was incredible to have to think that after being apart of a family with these people for nine years.

So I did what I always do when I don't know what to do:

I cried and wrote.

So there you have it, my first poem since April 2nd.

I apologize again for being so inactive;

I've been working really hard on my book.

Page 49 people!

Doesn't seem like such a big difference from last time,

but honestly, unless you have written hat many pages before,

you have no idea.

Writing a book takes a lot of time, patience, and persistence.

And i just wanted to let you all know

that if I ever do get published,

I will still try to be active of FictionPress.

Thanks so much everyone!

Okay, okay. You all prob ably hate me.

I don't particularly blame you.

I have not been dedicated to this site at all in the past few months.

There really is no excuse,

but I thought I could still give you an update,

incase anyone was still interested.

I started high school back in September.

I have made the most incredible friends there,

I love them all sooooo much!

They really are the greatest, most supportive bunch of girls ever.

(it's an all-girls school).

I also auditioned for a play at the Amesbury Playhouse.

And I got a part! Haha!! I was so excited!

The play is High School Musical.

(Yes, kind of dumb,

but I really love the playhouse and I really wanted to start acting ASAP,

and that happened to be the play they were doing at the time.)

So I got into the ensemble.

My brother was supposed to play Mr. Tenny,

and the chemistry teacher, and Alan, one of the really bad auditioners.

But we were short on men.

Like, VERY short on men.

We had about three guys in the cast and like ten girls.

We could not fill every male part with three boys.

So Lindsey, our director had to beg and plead for guys she knew to come play certain parts.

We got a Ryan, but we still needed a Zeke.

They guy Lindsey had asked said no.

So my brother went to her one day and said

that we could use a voice over for Mr. Tenny and if she couldn't find anyone,

he could play Zeke.

As it turns out,

She came to my brother and I at a rehearsal and took his script away.

Then she dropped in front of me and said

"Congratulations, Caitlin, you're playing Ms. Tenney."

Then she dropped a huge folder in front of my brother.

It had "Zeke" written across the top.

Lindsey said "Rob, you're Zeke. Thank you so much for stepping up and offering."

I was dumbfounded.

I have about three lines in the whole one scene that I play Ms. Tenney in,

but this is like, the biggest thing I've ever done.

It was much more than I expected with the experience that I have.

Rob was ecstatic to say the least.

He has all kinds of solos and he's in practically every scene.

I have to say I'm really proud of him.

He has really broken out of his shell and stepped up and he's great.

Opening night was the 7th of this month and everyone is doing so well.

We were all nervous in the beginning that we wouldn't be ready in time,

but we have all really pulled it together.

So, I suppose that's where I've been these last few months.

School and acting.

And Writing.

Don't think for a moment that I've given that up.

I'm still writing that book, it's just on a short hiatus.

I'll be back to writing it very soon.

If you live in the area,

It would be very greatly appreciated if you would come to a show at the playhouse!

The Amesbury playhouse, Amesbury, MA!

Peace.

Hello, everybody.

Well, yesterday was my best friend's birthday.

It was also the one year anniversary of Ryan Bourque's death.

Yeah, that poem I have here Living For You,

it's about him.

I wrote it after he died a year ago.

Yesterday was...a little hard.

I attempted to keep my mind on Melissa and her birthday,

and not on Ryan and his death,

just like last year.

But now I can't stop thinking about

when my family went to his wake,

and all the thousands of people who were there,

and his sister and how brave she was

and how sturdy and controlled she was,

and his brother and how broken he was,

and how much he just needed someone.

So, here I am a year later,

and not much has changed.

Well, look on the bright side...

No one I know has died yet this year.

For the past few years,

at least three people I know have died

between November and January.

I'm praying no one will.

I won't be able to handle anymore.
