What is a poem?
What is the nature of a poem? Here are my reflections on the subject.
Poetry: General, T, English, Poetry & Angst, words: 79, 3/19/2007
1 God is
What is god? Where is god? Have our fragile human egos become so unruly that we think ourselves to be doing to will of anything above our Madula Oblongata?
Poetry: Religion, T, English, Spiritual & Poetry, words: 173, favs: 1, 3/19/2007
1Weakness
This might be a rant on the weakness of others, but no. This is me having to face, once again, my weakness, my lack of self-respect and even my sense of balance. I make Fight Club referances. And I am the dragon. My family keeps having 666 come up. I
Poetry: Life, M, English, words: 193, 5/16/2006
2I don't care anymore
This is me. Take me or leave me. We all want to be loved for ourselves. Friends out of facades are not friends until you show them the real you, your weakness and they still see you as a friend.
Poetry: Life, M, English, words: 118, 5/13/2006
1Nothing matters
A simple philosophical lesson. Nothing emo or warped. Just a window into how I think. What I think doesn't really matter. Why would anyone spend this much time reading a preface. If you are still reading this poem is for you.
Poetry: Life, M, English, words: 154, 5/13/2006
A story about Billy
The first full on fiction I've written in months. No, over a year. I saw a spot on tv about kids dying because of the choking game. I just wanted to write a social Darwinist piece. By the way, the writting is re-miniscent of Fight Club, isn't it?
Fiction: Thriller, T, English, Drama & Horror, words: 818, 5/12/2006
2Disconnect
I do this a lot. More than I should. I fear I'll disconnect and never be able to reconnect to anything one day. Point being this is about the joys and flaws of complete emotional disconnects.
Poetry: Life, T, English, words: 71, 5/12/2006
1Earth
I wrote this a while back. Sometime around "6 Days". Looking at the ants in the coffee shop got me thinking about God. Haha. Anyway, it's old so don't expect too much.
Poetry: Life, K, English, words: 117, 5/9/2006
2A plateau
I stand on a plateau. Empty and following orders like a clockwork orange. To my side, my friends, my equals. I speak not out of pride when I ask, where are those like us who have ascended further? I have led. I have comdanded for too long. Like a vam
Poetry: Life, T, English, words: 72, 5/9/2006
2Age means nothing
Not one of my best but something I've wanted to say for a while. A commentary of the ridiculous nature of law based on age.
Poetry: Life, T, English, words: 94, 5/6/2006
2Disgust
The only thing I feel for my mother. That's not true actually but I'll let myself think it for now. She's been drinking recently.
Poetry: Life, T, English, Poetry, words: 88, 5/5/2006
Not a penny to my name
I just found out that I am going to have to pay for college completely on my own. No help from anyone. I guess I'll have to do a lot of manipulation. That plus latent abandonment issues I thought were long dead.
Poetry: Life, T, English, words: 92, 5/5/2006
The eye of the storm
This expresses the way I feel right now. I'm dealing with it though, nothing emo. I'm trying to face it. I just needed to put it somewhere.
Poetry: Life, T, English, Poetry, words: 71, 5/5/2006
Have I ascended?
I put T as the rating just because no one under 13 will get it. The last line isn't an allusion to religion.
Poetry: Life, T, English, words: 190, 5/1/2006
1Whatever the future brings
Me coming to terms with the more than likely possibility that my love won't be returned again. The last line is German.
Poetry: Life, T, English, Romance & Poetry, words: 75, 4/24/2006
Bloody Tears
A poem based on what you said to me once. Do you remember?
Poetry: Love, M, English, Romance, words: 71, 4/20/2006
3I should have known
I acted as a man, a lover when I should have been a friend. I'm sorry. I didn't know.
Poetry: Love, M, English, Poetry, words: 102, 4/18/2006
