My Stories 22
Cheers to Three Years My first real attempt at songwriting. Very rough, will be changed and added to. "The golf clubs were slippery & I hoped that you'd miss me / as we putted past that boundary between friends and fiends." No music yet, but definitely an acoustic piece.
Poetry: Song, K, English, Romance, words: 195, 8/2/2011
Shattered Glass and ScrapedUp Knees A vignette exercise in which I had to focus an entire scene around one metaphorical image. Sometimes the most painful of adult affairs can be reflected in the most innocent of child's play. Rated for somewhat provocative, although subtle, imagery.
Fiction: General, T, English, Drama, words: 547, 7/28/2011
Untitled No title as of yet. A retelling crossover of Little Red Riding Hood and The Three Little Pigs from the wolf's point of view. I feel that this retelling is a bit overly popular, but it bore a try. I did my best to give the wolf a unique voice.
Fiction: Humor, K+, English, Humor & Parody, words: 1k+, 11/7/2010
1 Candy Corn My Halloween special, a bit late. A half serious attempt at a scary Halloween-esque ghost story ... it's also a bit of a play on the cliche stories that all seem to echo off one another in one way or another.
Fiction: Horror, T, English, Horror, words: 2k+, 11/7/2010
4 City In Snow Just an observation.
Poetry: Haiku, K, English, words: 15, favs: 1, 10/24/2010

Poetry: Family, K, English, Poetry & Family, words: 124, 10/4/2009
3 The Dark Side of Incandescence Some couples seem to exist just for their own destruction; some, however, take this to the Nth degree. Inspired by My Chemical Romance's Demolition Lovers, but don't let that decide whether you read it or not. REVISED!
Fiction: Horror, M, English, Drama, words: 2k+, favs: 2, 9/11/2009
6 Home's Much Safer Might change the title; help appreciated. Just a randomly inspired vignette about a young girl and her troublesome friend. Might be expanded into a larger project, but I need some feedback first. If you randomly saw this in a book, would you keep reading?
Fiction: General, T, English, Friendship, words: 1k+, follows: 1, 8/25/2009
3 Where's Adalia? Not really an essay; it's a short article on the band Madina Lake I wrote for my High School newspaper. Unfortunately, it didn't make it in, but about 8 articles by the editor in chief did. Hmmm...
Fiction: Essay, K, English, Mystery, words: 770, favs: 1, 11/19/2008
1 Disesteemed A poem with a slightly silly subject, on how we often shun and take for granted those who are just there to help us.
Poetry: Life, K, English, Poetry, words: 85, 11/19/2008
9 One Part Tea, Two Parts Despair Tears begin spilling down my cheeks. I claw desperately at the person trying to help me. I try to tell him if he really wants to help me, he'd chase the memories away.
Fiction: Romance, T, English, Angst, words: 1k+, favs: 7, updated: 10/6/2008 published: 4/10/2008

Poetry: Haiku, K, English, Romance & Poetry, words: 17, 6/13/2008
3 Not So Rain or Shine My entry for once rained for's "Fight for the Freebie" contest. We had to write a haiku about getting caught in the rain at an amusement park.

Poetry: Haiku, K, English, words: 12, 5/10/2008

Poetry: Love, K, English, Romance & Poetry, words: 162, favs: 1, 4/16/2008
4 Deity and Chocolate Covered Strawberries Gods and goddesses aren't perfect. They are simply idols, moral guidelines for how we should live our lives. The truth is, deceit runs rampant in their own realm, and tragedy is certain when it leaks into ours. Religious folk, this is FICTION.
Fiction: Fantasy, T, English, Drama & Fantasy, words: 938, 4/13/2008
14 I Know You're Still There Silly Charlotte. Didn't they tell you time and time again I don't exist? They're going to take you away, and I'm still going to have my way with you – in soundproof, white padded rooms. Inspired by Evanescence's Haunted, hence the title. Revised10/12/11
Fiction: Horror, M, English, Horror & Mystery, words: 2k+, favs: 17, follows: 1, 4/12/2008
6 Vice and Verse That yellow poison that covered the bricks, bubbles away to reveal / White walls, sharp smells…a man crying at my heels. Note: NOT intended to be called "Vice Versa."

5 Sequence She jumps; heard a chuckle from his newfound lips: Had they ever been so inviting? Existed, at all?
