I'm the girl with the chewed up pencils. Forever a fan of pepperoni and forest trails. Lover of the basic loves: Jesus, rainbows, grapes, Thursdays, and fans (like, the spinning kind that blow air around on hot summer days).

I write poetry and that's about it. Although I'm forever beginning stories, they never seem to get finished. How lame is that?

There are two woodpeckers who live in the tree outside my bedroom. So sometimes on nice afternoons I go sit on the front porch and watch them go bug hunting while I blow bubbles and try to get a tan. Except I can never get a tan because my grandmother was Swedish. My mom says I look like her, but I think I look like my mom who has blue eyes and brown hair and a dimple in the middle of her chin.

Blue is my favorite color and quail are my favorite birds and music is my favorite thing to listen to right after the sounds of cats purring and the crunchy noises that powdery snow makes.

I wanted to be a writer for a long time, but now I'm studying math (hmm... how did that happen? Your guess is as good as mine) and I'm going to graduate from college in a few weeks. And the worst thing about college is that when you're almost done everyone asks you, "What are you going to do next?" I don't really know, you guys, but I'm sure something good will happen. Hopefully I can start working, and maybe I'll keep writing, and definitely I'll still be sitting on front porches watching the birds on warm evenings in March.
