There isn't much to know about me. I love to write, obviously, or I wouldn't be an author here. I also love reading. I'll read just about anything - horror, mystery, romance (especially), angst, fantasy/sci fi, etc. And this love of literature has caused my love of writing. If it weren't for people like Agatha Christie, William Shakespeare, Jane Austen, T. S. Eliot, Christina Rosetti, etc., I would not have learned to love to create my own works of fiction. So I guess you have them to thank.

My biggest inspiration for my writing is real life. Many of my characters are based on people I know. And while the storylines are not based on real life in most cases, the heroine or one of her close friends is often me. There's never a day that goes by where I do not write down some sort of situation so that if I ever need to use it in a story, I can.

Another big inspiration for me is literature itself. I've already mentioned this a little, but since I believe that immitation is the highest form of flattery, I find no problem with taking one of Shakespeare's plays and using it for inspiration.

And my last, and maybe in my life most important, inspiration is music. Yes, I'm one of those people who is absolutely obsessed with music. Mostly indie, a little alternative, emo, punk, and hard rock, but mostly indie. Bands and artists like The Shins, Regina Spektor, Hellogoodbye, Jenny Lewis with the Watson Twins, Tila Tequila, Tilly and the Wall, Tegan and Sarah, Joshua Radin, Jack Johnson, My Chemical Romance, Cobra Starship, The Academy Is+44, Dashboard Confessional, Relient K, Muse, The Strokes, The Vines, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Flaming Lips, Boy Least Likely To, Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkeys, The Libertines, The Automatic, The Decemberists, Death from Above, Death Cab for Cutie, Chin Up Chin Up, The Early Nobember, PlayRadioPlay!, I Can Make A Mess Like Nobody's Business, Sherwood, Mae, Eisley, Chiodos, Saosin, The Evens, The Faint, The Format, The Forecast, Fugazi, Hot Hot Heat, The Hives, and (trust me) MANY more. Those are just my absolute favorites.
