how can they bear to live?

Hey before I say anything, I'd just like to point out the fact that this site is mainly for poetry. If you like what you read, I also have an account on a site called . My user name is C. Hirsch, so be sure to check out my stories :) I'd really appreciate it if you read One More Reason, And So It Will Be, and Time Broken, Time Lost. Thanks :)

"She had a history of killing herself.
I had a habit of dying.
I think she gave me something to live for.
I guess I helped her pass the time.
I had a vision of seeing things straight.
She had the heart of a liar.
I never saw her leaving me once.
She never felt me beside her.
And its cruel but, she's got a good
Hold on
Me."
--Hold On by Dashboard Confessional

"She smiled in a big way
The way a girl like that smiles
When the world is hers."
--Dusk and Summer by Dashboard Confessional

THE SKY IS EVERYWHERE:

"Sadness pulses out of us as we walk. I almost expect the trees to lower their branches when we pass, the stars to hand down some light. I breathe in the horsey scent of eucalyptus, the thick sugary pine, aware of each breath I take, how each one keeps me in the world a few seconds longer. I taste the sweetness of the summer air on my tongue and want to just gulp and gulp and gulp it into my body--this living, breathing, heart-beating body of mine." ...pg 76

"When he plays his horn I fall out of my chair and onto my knees. When he plays all the flowers swap colors and years and decades and centuries of rain pour back into the sky." ... pg122

"There were once two sisters who were not afraid of the dark because the dark was full of the other's voice across the room, because even when the night was thick and starless they walked home together from the river seeing who could last the longest without turning on her flashlight, not afraid because sometimes in the pitch of night they'd lie on their backs in the middle of the path and look up until the stars came back and when they did, they'd reach their arms up to touch them and did." ...pg143

"Remember how it was when we kissed? Armfuls and armfuls of light thrown right at us. A rope dropping down from the sky. How can the word love, the word life even fit in the mouth?" ...pg222

Pg 28: "A Room on Lorelei Street" by Mary E. Pearson

"The angels threw glitter up there just for you. They celebrated almost as much as I did the day you were born. Every time you look up you remember how special you are--so special that the angels threw a big party. Just for you."

Pg 126: "Looking For Alaska" by John Green

" After all this time, it still seems to me that straight and fast is the only way out -- but I choose the labyrinth. The labyrinth blows, but I choose it."
