Proceed with caution. The name's Kara. 26.
I love writing romance fiction, but my views on love alter with every day that passes. Some days I believe it exists; others, I think it merely exists to cause humans pain.

I am who I am, so deal with it. Don't like it, leave it.

Currently attempting to continue Same Love. Also in the process of trying, once again, to write "The Cracks in Mr. Perfect", a novel inspired by Ne-Yo's album title

Completed Stories:

The Games that Play Us: A boy and a girl who used to be best friends are forced to work together after getting spots on the Student Council as well as being forced to partner up for an English project. She decides to play a little game with his heart, but little does she know, he's playing the same one, too. Pretty soon, though, they find out that the game's the one doing the playing, not them. (One of these days, I will re-write every single word of this story because back then, I didn't even know how to write a story).

Kiss of Death: A demon is hired by Satan to steal a woman's soul. One problem, though, the only way to get it is to kiss her, and she's not exactly willing... And things just get more complicated when he starts falling for her. (I will also be editing this story some day because I loved the idea, but I did not execute it flawlessly).

Her Prince Charming: She was forced to attend a boarding school her senior year. He bumped into her at the welcome-to-school party and didn't bother to apologize. She told him off. He wasn't used to that. He became a pain in her ass and she became a pain in his. She had an ideal about Prince Charming and he wasn't it. A scheming roommate, her gay best friend, HIS best friend, and drama-filled dances change things, however. Funny, now it seems Prince Charming wears wife-beaters. (This idea is awfully cliche, I don't know what I was thinking when I wrote it, but it's one of my most-beloved stories and I plan on editing it because it could have been a lot better and also, more grammatically correct).

This I Swear: (Spin off of 'Her Prince Charming') Some say it's unnatural, but nothing is unnatural about love. He's going to marry the man of his dreams and be a wonderful husband to him and he'll be damned if he lets society stop him. ONE-SHOT.

Haunted: (Spin off of 'The Games That Play Us') Andrew and Adelaide had a misunderstanding that had her going to Alec for help. He (Andrew) isn't sure he can keep pretending that things are the same. She doesn't want to let him go, but she doesn't think she has much of a choice. ONE-SHOT.

Dear John: She's loved him since she was sixteen. Everyone warned her to stay away, but she never listened. She's nineteen now and she wishes she had. ONE-SHOT.

Back to December: She left him behind one year ago and now she's back. He still loves her and she still loves him, too. He doesn't trust her anymore and she can't stay because she has a life now. Both know living in the past is bad for them... it's just too bad she can't stop going back to December and wishing she'd said yes. ONE-SHOT.

In-progress: Where I Stood: Nicolette and Brady went way back, all the way to their toddler days. They fell into that cliche; the boy and girl hate each other for a while, become best friends, and then somewhere along the line, fall in love. Their friends all thought they were the 'epic' love story, but it all changed when Nicolette decided New York wasn't the place for her anymore and went off to study Psychology in Salem. A year and a half later, she returns with Curtis, a friend she met in Salem, and the two transfer to Columbia. Nicolette forgot one thing, though: Brady's major is Psychology, too. They meet again, but Brady isn't alone like she is: he's moved on. The way he acts around her proves otherwise, though. He starts to fight for her, despite being with Kasey, a friend of theirs from high school, who he seems really happy with, and Nicolette is forced to choose: should she give into how she feels or should she just let him remain happy with Kasey? She's made a lot of tough decisions in her life. She thinks maybe this is the hardest. But matters of the heart usually are. (In another lifetime, I will perhaps continue this short story).

Same Love: Same Love is the story of two girls, Kaia Ann Rhodes and Hope Marsters who share one major thing in common, they're both lesbians. Only, Kaia is open and it has not ever been easy for her; in a town as small as hers, anyone different is treated like a pariah. Hope is new in town and she's never been honest about who she really is for fear that her family will disown her due to her step-mother's beliefs. Nothing is harder than being yourself. Will Hope ever come out of the closet?

Upcoming one-shots: NONE.
