Name: Muhammad Syarif Fadhlurrahman
Age: (in the first semester of 2011) 18
Occupation: college student
Native Language: Indonesian
Other Languages: English(fairly fluent), German(still studying), Arabic(still studying), Bosnian(still studying)
I write mainly poetries, both classical metrical and modern blank verse, sometimes other styles also. I mainly use English, seldom Indonesian, still unsure to use German, Bosnian and Arabic (maybe even Romance languages). I think I usually have a gloomy setting in my poems.
I also write translations with the permission of the original author. Currently, I'm only able to translate from English to Indonesian, not so much vice versa.
"He who joyfully marches to music rank and file, has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice. This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, how violently I hate all this, how despicable and ignoble war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be a part of so base an action. It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder." (Alledgedly said by Albert Einstein; I agree with what he said)
