Hello & welcome :) I'm a 28 year old mom of 3 girls. I'm a LPN who has recently started writing again in her free time. The last few years have been quite eventful and have been full of changes for me. I started my nursing career as a CNA and pushed myself through school with two small children and an absent husband who later became abusive. I didn't realize how bad everything had gotten until it was almost too late. The last time that I updated this, was 6 years ago when I'd started nursing school and so much has changed since then. I've been with my boyfriend for over a year and a half now, and every day he shows me what real love really is and how a man should treat a woman. I've neglected my passions and hobbies for so long, and I'm finally getting back to where I should be. It's been a long healing journey, and I've come so far. I'm proud of how far I've come, and who I'm becoming.
I'm a writer, I'm a reader. I love receiving long-winded reviews almost as much as I love giving them.
A little bit about me, and if I don't update as much as I used to it's because... I suffer from a disease called Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension. It's quite rare. Less than 1 in 100,000 people have it, and it's more common in women in their childbearing years. The exact cause is unknown, but I basically have too much fluid around my brain (too much cerebal spinal fluid) and it causes migraines and swelling of the optic nerves and discs. Which means I have visual distortions and some blind spots. Yay me *sarcasm* Anyway! Looking at my computer for too long sucks, as I get terrible migraines and trying to focus with double vision just makes it worse. Thankfully my vision is a little better than it was before, or I wouldn't be writing this right now. As long as my medicine keeps working, I'll keep writing and reading! For whoever is reading this, thanks for sticking by my work and all that. It really means a lot to me.
the above statement about my disease was written in 2013. It's now 2016, and I've been in remission for a year and a half!! *update in 2022, I'm still in remission, I think, lol. I've been having those damn migraines again though so keeping fingers crossed!
