Update 12/14/2012
So I haven't exactly touched this account in a while except to get rid of some dead weight. I'm planning to fully revise the three existing stories. Things will change. Characters will be more developed, plots will be condensed and streamlined, Seth and Blake won't take 40 chapters for their first kiss. Spoiler alert, they do eventually kiss. Content will change. And for old, old readers, the first story I ever posted may make an appearance. The Gospel According to Seth was a project that I began years ago. My writing's changed a lot since then.
Specific plans for specific stories:
The Gospel According to Seth will be much shorter, and it will establish continuity within the Seth series (projected four stories, one for each year in high school, see notes below) and his character development should be much clearer. Blake chapters will be very clearly in her point of view. Some questions will be answered. Why is Seth seeing a psychiatrist instead of a psychologist or therapist? Why can Blake drive? Is Seth actually okay? So on and so forth.
Seth and the Queen Bee will wait until sophomore year is finished. Sophomore year is pretty important, and junior year's plot is more condensed and in less need of revision. This is somewhat on standby.
Incubus is at a decent place, but I'm still revising it. I like the length, but I can cut some extraneous material and add more important things.
All the stories here and to come will be in the same fictional city of Boulanger, CA. It's changed location a few times (started out in Monterey area, moved to Sonoma County, staying in Sonoma) I'm trying to develop it more. It's a work in progress, and I think my next story will be more illuminating.
Future Projects:
The Swift Family Flower Company is a mature M/M story set in Boulanger. It's a long time coming. It's featuring proto-Seth and proto-Blake before Seth was an introverted lobster and Blake was a snob. It's a stand-alone story, and it's about love. First chapter should be up soon.
I plan on writing two freshman year stories for Seth and Blake, both under 10,000 words. Titles are pending, but Blake's has to do with band camp and bullying, Seth's has to do with Advice Tree and his therapy. The senior year story is a monster I have yet to tackle. It doesn't have a pending title yet, but I think it will be split pretty evenly between Seth and Blake narration.
Anyways, that's it. Happy reading, everyone.
