Two ordinary villagers plan to leave their hometowns, one for revenge and one for adventure.

A select few family lines can still birth sorcerers, and they fight together for control of the city's underground against the group who stole their secrets twenty years ago. Tina, of course, knows none of this, but when a stranger attacks her in an alleyway she is drawn into a world of magic, murder and family feuds.
