Two Birds With One Stone The Moa was a great bird, and the Haast's Eagle was its only natural predator. But humans changed that when they came to New Zealand, hunting the Moas to extinction, and essentially destroying the great Haast's as well. Two birds with one stone: That's an expression I love to hate!

Ode To Technology In General Technology can be used for good or ill. And it can serve us, or we can serve it. It depends on whether we want to get control of it before it's too late, or allow ourselves to fall more and more under its control instead.

1 The House Sparrow This feisty little bird does the lowly sparrow family proud at survival, but like the people who come from its original home, Eurasia, it doesn't seem to like the foreign natives too much, scaring away other sparrows indigenous to the Americas. White men displacing Native American tribes, anyone?

Not Naked, Nude When people talk about being unclothed, "naked" has such negative connotations. So let's consider that perhaps, just perhaps, being "nude" is a more positive thing to say.

Will he win and get all the crooks locked up for keeps? Or will he lose, and some or all of them escape? Law and Order, the game, is my own invention, and the story's based on an actual game I played. Rated for crimes.
