A man rides his bike home down a dark street and comes face to face with a demon. Since then he sees it every night in his dreams, he goes to a therapist for help. He tells him what happened and how he wants to kill himself, he can't take it anymore. The therapist decides he can believe his crazy story and asks him a single question. A shepherd boy watches over his flock, he is content. He wants to only be a shepherd but his destiny includes no such peace. One day he will be greater than he can imagine, and he'll hate every second of it. He'll make friends closer to him than family and enemies who want his head on a pike.
