“And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it.” - Roald Dahl

Hello
Hey Everyone, Cyborg included, I know you guys are people too. Kinda. A lot has been brought to my attention throughout my time on Fictionpress and also on Fanfiction especially the shocking above mentioned information.
But without further ado, lets go back to the beginning..the very beginning..
So now that we've got Megamind (awesome movie) out of the way.. my name is (insert preferred name here) and my age is (a number from zero to positive infinity) and I joined Fictionpress after reading The Vampire Diaries and Artemis Fowl (among other) fan fiction's practically every day of my boring education filled life. Anyhow..I arrived on planet Fictionpress and haven't really read much of anything else :)
My writing style is random to say the least and minuscule yet average to good poetry is basically the main portion of this account so far. I fancy anything supernatural, fantasy, the occasional well written sci-fi or a mixture of our human world with that of another..absolutely my favorite.(Vampires, werewolves, witches, warlocks, elemental powers, magic, fairies, the occasional ghost, the list goes on..) and am especially fond of a good werewolf/vampire story, yes, I know:CLICHE alert, but sometimes IN THE CATACOMBS OF THE PSYCHOTIC MINDS of some of the fantastic people on this site..have good cliche's for me to read. This leads is to the coming of the fantastic award of my first meant to be read totally favorite story:
THE NIGHT'S STARCROSSED STORY written by CIRYA I would like to say thank you so much for writing the best cliche-but-so-not-a-cliche story I have ever read on this site so far. Congratulations!
So here we are coming down now to the random things random people in their books that I love.
Poetry
When people start their fictions with a poem, quote or song.
Love
When people write stories about Forbidden love or Unexpected love especially when they are awesomely written.
Expansion
When people expand their books by like twenty thousand words for the sake of filling in more.
Sequels
When people write really awesome sequels to their books.
Complete
When books are successfully completed and have a satisfactory ending.
New
When a fresh eye is taken to old stories or even new ones and creative ideas start flowing out like water. (because about 75 percent of our brains are made up of water.)
And here are the thing that people random people do that I loathe entirely.
- Please, I'm sure that everyone loves a unsatisfactory ending.
- Cliche's that are so obvious a ten year old could write better. (sorry if your ten, you are so awesome.)
- Summaries are there to attract people to your story therefore DO NOT use..the five words of story suicide.."Sorry I suck at summaries." NO.
- People who write a great book! .. and then completely screw up the sequel..and I mean obliteration of hope.
- People who start up ready to go and then go and leave right in the middle of it.. So awesome..just die please. Or fix your book...immediately.
Oh and here are the random things that writers do that I am okay on.
Sci-fi
Not to crazy on space age, but i'm cook with it.
Short
If its not an essay or labeled as a short story it shouldn't be shorter than 19k in my opinion..probably wont read it unless you have some serious summary power.
Short Chapters
Chapters that have like 800 words. Not enough for me, but if it's good on summary, I might check it out.
Summaries
Crappy summaries..not like the five words of story suicide .. you gave it a shot so good for you.
Author's Notes
I'm perfectly great with author's notes its just when they get really long and aren't very useful that they become unnecessary.
ACHIEVEMENTS (TO ME ANYWAY)
I read a 325k (roughly) once and it was AWESOME.
I can read a 92k story in 3-4 hours if I feel like reading it.
I read for approximately 12 hours straight, give or take an hour or so. From 4pm to 4am the next morning. The book was from The Vampire Diaries by L. J. Smith.
I DISLIKE BOOK ABUSERS..STRONGLY.
FAVORITE AUTHOR'SRoald Dahl, Enid Blyton, Charles Dickens, Stephenie Meyer, Dan Brown, J. R. R. Tolkien. William Shakespeare, Anne Rice, J. K. Rowling, Lewis Carroll, Dr Seuss, Stephen King, Karen Miller, R. L. Stine.
